Spanish Purebred Horses Stud Farm
Over three centuries of Andalusian tradition
This Andalusian hacienda spreads over 432 hectares, with approximately one-third of fields intended for olive groves and the rest for meadows where cattle peacefully graze.
Two different distinctive stock herds are extensively raised in the Hacienda: genuine beef cattle and pure-bred Spanish horses (Carrion Herd –Yeguada Carrion). This renown stable has been providing top class horses for generations, spreading this ancient southern tradition that spans until the 16th century. This high-class horse was initially reserved for the aristocracy and the royal family, that’s why it is broadly known as the Horse of Kings. A magnificent horse for both a pleasure riding, technical dressage, racing and jumping competitions, and professional breeding.
In the middle of the Hacienda, surrounded by a typical Andalusian patio, stands a more than 300-year-old stately home where facilities for horses can be found: stables, barns, manege grounds, courtyards, etc.
This visit provides a very authentic countryside experience where you will enjoy an amazing encounter with the Spanish purebred horse world, while being carried away by the mesmerising olive sights and the beautiful southern scenery.
